Hoodia Succulent

The Real Hoodia Has To Be Succulent

Remember that the products that are made out of Hoodia are known to have the ability to suppress one’s appetite and therefore help the person lose weight by burning the excess fat that is stored in the body. Hoodia products tend to deliver good results, but for a Hoodia product to work, it has to be made out of real Hoodia and that is the problem that is being faced by the majority of the people, as they are unable to find a product that has been made out of genuine Hoodia, despite that the fact that the market is crowded these days with different types of cheap and discount Hoodia products.

It is a general perception that if a product is made out of pure Hoodia Gordonii, then it is bound to work. It may be true to a certain extent but is not totally correct. Well, the first reason behind this fact is that since only the stem of the Hoodia plant contains the chemical P57, then the products that are made by using the stem only are considered to be the best and most effective. If the other parts of the Hoodia cactus such as the stem and the roots are also used, this may decrease the cost of the product but will certainly dilute the efficacy of it.

The second thing to notice is that if the original Hoodia is indeed being used but the stem of the plant has dried up, then it is of no use as well. Certain manufacturers use to carry out what is known as the Hoodia Succulent test. This is a test that checks the succulence of the Hoodia in order to ensure that it contains the chemicals P57 in sufficient quantities so that it could be used to extract the P57 chemicals out of it. This Hoodia Succulent test must be passed in order to certify that the Hoodia is indeed worthy of being used in the manufacture of such medications that will suppress the appetite and help the person lose weight.

The third thing to notice is that many products are being made out of Hoodia Gordonii but not the one that comes from the South African Sahara Desert. Usually, such Hoodia grows either in the Mexican Desert or in the Chinese Gobi Desert. Despite the fact that such species of Hoodia can easily pass the Hoodia Succulent test, they are simply useless to be used in the manufacture of such products as these species of Hoodia do not contain the chemical P57 and are thus no good at suppression of the appetite.

A certain segment of manufacturers that primarily sell discount Hoodia products, have started to import the dry powdered version of Hoodia, which is derived from the Hoodia that has been lost while being dried. If Hoodia is to be dried, then it must be dried out of sunlight and the Hoodia being imported comes from Hoodia spoilt in sunlight.

In order to avoid these problems, only use products that are C.I.T.E.S certified and possess the analytical report in order to avoid the chance of ending up with the wrong Hoodia product.
